MIKE OUTRAM JAZZ GUITAR WORKSHOP
To lead our first ever guitar workshop we are delighted to welcome Mike Outram, one of the UK’s leading jazz guitarists, composers and teachers . He has recorded with Steven Wilson, Robert Fripp and Photek; toured internationally with Herbie Mann, Tim Garland, Carleen Anderson and Theo Travis, and is Guitar Professor at Trinity College and The Royal Academy, London. The workshop is open to players who are interested in learning more about jazz chord progressions and improvisation. You don’t have to be able to read music to enjoy this workshop.

ALAN BARNES ‘MAKING THE DOTS COME TO LIFE’
A workshop for reasonably experienced sight readers
Alan is looking for a big band style line-up to coach through some of his arrangements he will hand out on the day. This is a repeat of a very successful workshop he conducted in 2010. Early booking is a good idea as this event sold out last time. All those who took part said it was most enjoyable and not a bit scary. A great chance to work with one of the top band leaders in UK jazz.

INFORMATION ON WORKSHOPS
Workshop participation is free to Weekender and Day Ticket holders. Tickets should be obtained in advance. There is limited seating for any ticket holders wishing to observe. General information is included in the printed programme. To book please complete the following. Participants should assemble half an hour prior to the start time for coffee and introductions. There will be a half time break when drinks will be provided.
