Our 9th ‘Jazz on a Winter’s Weekend’ 1-3 February was a complete sell out with record attendance. Many thanks to all the wonderful musicians who took part and to the management and staff of The Royal Clifton Hotel for helping to make this a very special occasion. Most of all thanks to everyone who came along to enjoy the music. More than 2500 concert seats were filled over the weekend. Thanks to Ron Simpson from The Jazz Rag magazine and Peter Vacher writing for Jazz Wise for their reviews and to BBC Radio 3 Jazz Line Up for broadcasting recordings of two of the gigs [Marius Neset and Mike Walker-Iain Dixon]
Work has already started on preparations for our 10th anniversay Jazz on a Winter's Weekend which will take place over the weekend 31 Jan - 2nd February 2014. The programme will be on the site in June and bookings start from July 1st.
Meantime there are some great club gigs to be enjoyed and The Southport Jazz Festival 10-12 May at The Atkinson, Southport's fantastic arts centre and theatre which reopens in April after a major 3 year refurbishment.
