Harry Hussey

We welcome back this highly talented jazz accordionist for his third festival weekend visit. Harry, with his boundless energy, enthusiasm and extraordinary memory full of tunes, contributes an enormous amount to the atmosphere and fun of the weekend and is very popular both with our audiences and also with visiting musicians for impromptu sessions. all weekend

Twin Frets

An eclectic guitar and vocal duo featuring Vernon Fuller and Willy Fluss with a mix from jazz standards to soul classics and a touch of reggae. Vernon cites George Benson and Stevie Wonder as his main influences. Italian Willy,a graduate of Leeds College of Music quotes Stern, Montgomery and Scofield as his. A highly entertaining talented pair. Friday 1pm Conservatory Bar and 5.30pm Chatsworth Lounge

Mainstreet

A close harmony quartet in the 4 Freshmen and Hi-Los tradition with added flavour from The Manhattan Transfer and New York Voices repertoire. Formed in 1986 by Steve Holt and Eddie Evans recently added Sue Hughes and Pam Thompson to the quartet which has since had many successful gigs including one at Southport Melodic Jazz Club with our Swingshift Big Band. For this one they will have trio accompaniment. Saturday 5.30pm Chatsworth Lounge

Comparing Notes

Guitarists Charles Alexander and Andy Robinson have played together for 20 years with a repertoire encompassing Reinhardt, Corea, Montgomery, Jobim and Metheny. Both have very interesting other lives; Charles the owner and publisher of Jazzwise magazine and Andy author of the Transcribe music software package used worldwide. We heard them at The Wiltshire Jazz Festival 2012 where they played a knockout set. Sunday 1pm Conservatory Bar and 5.30pm Chatsworth Lounge
