Peter Owen

Peter Owen has worked as a professional Artist for over 30 years. He has exhibited widely and has work in corporate and private collections worldwide. Corporate commissions include the Savoy Hotel Group, Ocean Transport and Trading plc, Pilkington Glass plc, Ciba Specialty Chemicals and Southport Flower Show. Peter is in regular demand for his workshops in schools and with community groups. He has completed over 100 Murals, sometimes working alone or along side a wide age range of people. These can be seen in and around schools, children's centres and church properties around the North West, and also the children's Library, Malvern. As a tutor Peter has 2 private classes, and leads workshops for adult groups which have included the Cottage Garden Society and local Art Societies.

Kay Whittaker

Portrait artist Kay Whittaker was born and raised in Southport and heavily influenced by her mother, being an artist and father a Jazz musician. Her work has been exhibited in Britain, France and Spain and at many Jazz festivals throughout the U.K. Kay works in many mediums to capture the mood and atmosphere of the performing artists, in their stage and offstage settings.

John Zehentner

John has been a familiar face as Artist In Residence at the last 3 festivals. His work has featured on several festival programme covers, including 2013. He is well known in Southport as a regular contributor to The Southport Palette Club where his eclectic styles, varying through finely detailed character studies via surrealistic compositions to more conventional townscapes have been much in demand. In 2011 he was awarded the 'Peoples' Prize' in the West Lancs Artists Open exhibition.

William Ellis "One LP"

Following the enormous response to his slide presentation last year, photographer William will exhibit a range of his portraits of personalities from the world of music, each with the record that has most influenced their individual careers - and the reason why. This exhibition precedes the publication of a book of the portraits.

Paul Bentley ARPS "Jazz in Southport"

An exhibition of Paul's recent photographs taken at Southport Melodic Jazz Club gigs and elsewhere. This exhibition has become a regular and popular feature of the festival.
