Swingshift Big Band

Phil Shotton adds to Swingshift’s already impressive tally of star guests with Paul Booth, one of the UK’s top ranking tenor sax players, for another of the band’s ever popular matinee gigs. Paul heads up a series of small groups (one of which is performing at tonight’s concert) as well as being the driving force behind the Bansangu Orchestra, a World Music collective. He also features with The Scottish National Jazz Orchestra, Arnie Somoygi’s ‘Ambulance’ and many other nationally renowned bands and as a free lance soloist. Paul’s writing and arranging skills are critically acclaimed and he is providing some of the charts for this gig.
