Our resident big band led by Phil Shotton plays with this recently re-formed mixed vocal group. Mainstreet has a vision to recreate the wonderful sounds of the great vocal groups of yesteryear for the modern day audience. Originally formed in 1986 and mainly concentrating on the arrangements of the Four Freshmen, it has expanded its repertoire to include tunes by The Hi-Los, The Pied Pipers, The Polka Dots, The Meltones, The King Sisters and more ; including contemporary groups like New York Voices and The Manhattan Transfer. The group has written all the arrangements for this concert. Some real gems, rarely heard.
Balmoral Suite doors and bar open 12.30pm. Sandwiches, tea and coffee on sale.
