Rob Van Bavel & The Ghost The King and I Trio "Working With & Within in a Rhythm Section"
A fascinating insight into the workings of a jazz rhythm section and small combo. The trio will first play for the participants before working on a jazz standard with the group looking at, amongst other things, different ways of using pentatonic scales for improvising. This is a rare opportunity to learn from one of Europe’s most respected and admired pianists within the context of his own group. For players of any instrument or keen listeners with an interest in getting inside the music. Saturday/Belvedere Suite/10 am to 12.30 pm
